Misenhelter Cruises to Qualifying Victory

Gianna Misenhelter 17 of Overland Park shot a 1-over par 72 to win sectional qualifying at for the Women's Amateur Public Links at Swope Memorial Golf Course. Finishing five stroke behind Misenhelter was Sidney Cox of Edmond, Oklahoma. Both Misenhelter and Cox qualified for last years championship. The WAPL, which will be played June 22-27 at Red Tail Golf Club in Devens, Massachuttes will be the third USGA national Championship Misenhelter has played in.
